Flynn | The Artist Behind SinkCoffiti®
The Concept: Turning Ritual into Revelation
Most see a morning spill; Flynn sees a canvas. SinkCoffiti® was born at the intersection of early-morning grogginess and unexpected inspiration. As a lifelong artist and musician, Flynn has always sought to translate everyday sensory experiences into contemporary abstract expressions.
The Process: Hand-Drawn Subtractive Art
Unlike traditional photography, every SinkCoffiti piece begins as a physical drawing. Using a stainless steel sink as a gallery and French press grounds as the medium, Flynn hand-sculpts, traces, and etches intricate compositions into the sediment. This subtractive art technique captures the "un-perfect" beauty of organic materials before they are preserved through vibrant macro photography.
The Philosophy: Urban Artifacts of the Home
Why "SinkCoffiti"? Because these swirling patterns and café à la presse stains tell a story—they are urban artifacts of the home. Flynn creates for the dreamers and the caffeine-fueled rebels who find beauty in the unconventional.
-
Intentional Mess: We celebrate the beauty of the "un-perfect."
-
Community Focused: A percentage of every sale supports the homeless and children’s charities, ensuring the art gives back to the community it draws inspiration from.
